The Cathedral Center Events
Pathway Home in 2020: July 31, 2020
Our annual celebration of ending homelessness for women and families with children includes a raffle and silent auction, wine pull and more. Cathedral Center and our 2020 Honorary Chair, Ms. Carole Meekins, truly hopes to be able to invite you to join us in celebrating HOPE, GRATITUDE and respect for the many HEROES in our community this year.
The Pathway Home is scheduled for the evening of July 29th. We are currently assessing the health and safety of holding a large public event. As we consider all options to continue to raise critical funds to maintain emergency shelter, employment, case management and housing services for women and families with children – we will ensure updated information is posted here, in social media and print publications.
Cathedral Center is currently seeking sponsors for Pathway Home and welcomes interest and inquiries at any time. Please feel free to contact Executive Director, Donna Rongholt-Migan, at firstname.lastname@example.org
GLITZ & GLAM
This fun wine and shopping night out is held annually each spring at the Access Boutique and Mainstream Boutique in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. For the first 5 years this event was hosted by the Novel Women book club and has raised up to $12,000 annually in support of our Women’s Independence Program.
In 2020 our new hosts will be the AAUW – American Association of University Women – again held in the Mainstream and Access Boutiques, with a portion of sales generously donated by owner Jeanette Dvorak. Unfortunately, due to the world health crisis, the 2020 Glitz & Glam event will be postponed to early December – just in time for the holidays.
Updates for this event will be posted here and in other social media and print venues as information becomes available. In the mean time, Cathedral Center’s Women’s Independence Program is still in need of financial support to assist women to secure employment and remove barriers, including one time financial stipends to move more quickly into housing.
